Hi!
At last - a decent, informative forum involving Front Page!!
You've no idea how hard I've been searching for the answer to my quest
Thankfully, I came across this forum!
I believe my issue may have been discussed before but I'd just lik
some reassurance!

I use Front Page 2002. When I click 'Open' it always opens with th
default folder (C..\..\..\My Webs\..).
As I store my webs elswhere for easier access (example C:\webs) thi
means I can't use the 'Views' options ie. Folders, Hyperlinks
Navigation etc.
Life would be a lot easier if I could change this setting to suit me
Plus I'd get to use Front Page as it should be used. I feel like I'
only using part of it right now and that's just daft isn't it?!

I've waded through pages and pages of stuff on the net, includin
Microsoft (waste of time!) and have learned a lot of other FP relate
stuff - however I've come up with only one positive answer to th
default folder thing: and that is to change the registry settings!

EEK! That's a scary thought!
I'm into graphics and web design, not programming or whatever, so I'
not too eager to start messing around with the registry!

Is this really the only way? Is it as scary as it sounds?

Your feedback would be most appreciated

You have two choices:

1. Change the registry.
2. Set FP to open the last web that you had open when you closed FP.

You should always use File Menu | Open Web, then selecting the web in the Open Web dialog, if you do
not have FP set to open the last open web.

When I launch FP2002, it opens with a new page, then I use File Menu | Open Web to select the web
that I want to work on.
