HELP! - FP won't save pictures, can't change folder/action of save

Built a new site recently using Front Page 2003 (been using FrontPage 2003
for couple of years now). For some reason now, whenever I insert a picture
or interactive button, they are not saved to any of my web folders, hence
when I close FP and go to the web site the pictures or buttons do not appear,
just the usual x box with whatever the picture or button name is. I've
looked at the code and apparently it's looking for the picture/button in my
documentsettings/localsettings/tempinternet files/frontpagetempdir.

I'm about to go freak'n nuts trying to figure out why and how to change
this. What am I missing and how to I get FP2003 to once again prompt me to
save new each picture or button with a pop up dialog box that gives me the
options of changing the folder and what action to perform with the picture or
button?

It's normal practice to import the images into your web site (into the
images folder) before you insert them into a page.

I usually do this with pictures, however the problem started while inserting
an interactive button from the web component menu in FP. Now FP will not
save the button or pictures and I cannot find anyway to change this. Any
suggestions. Thanks for the input

This sounds a lot like you don't have a "web" open, but are editing a page
outside of a web.

Nope, I do have the web open. I've tried both ways of editing it in FP while
connected as well as offline. Neither way saves the buttons. While looking
at the page while ago and trying to click on the x box that's displayed
instead of the actual button, I noticed that the link in the button works, so
it's apparently just the button picture that is not being saved with the
page.
