Can someone help me? I can not use the search button on
my IE. I can't even go to a search website, i.e.
www.google.com or even use the search features on yahoo
or msn.com. A page comes up that reads "Page can't be
found, try refresh, see administrator", etc. whenever I
hit the search button on my toolbar, type in
www.google.com or type in a word and hit search on yahoo
or msn. I tried emptying my temp internet files and
history and deleted the cookies. None worked. I am at a
total loss. I think it may be possible that some pop or
cookie is corrupting my PC or maybe I didn't set the
security correctly.

Thanks

You search assistant or machine has been hijacked by Spyware.

Follow the instructions for Ad-aware and SpyBot Search & Destroy at this
link: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
(Note that SpyBot is for advanced users and Ad-aware is for novice users)

Both applications update frequently just like your pre-installed anti-virus
scanner.
Use them often - just as you would run a scheduled anti-virus scan.
