I have a 1 gig flash drive that i set up with readyboost. i used all my
memory on the card for it and then i had to re-install windows. once i got
vista working again i couldnt format my flash drive because the data was
encrypted. does anyone know a way i can format encrypted files? because
windows wont even read my card until i do.

Hi,
Don't know if this will help;but;when i tryed ready boost;it did the
same thing; ifound that if i right clicked on it>proprties;theres a ready
boost tab;uncheck use this for ready boost; and i was able to delete that
ready boost file;and my 1gig flash was back to normal.

i had the same problem my 1gb mem stick was pluged in and running redaybost
when i updated to RC1 and the mem stick was leftfull of files i could not get
rid of. i reformated my memory stick on a mac, wich put it back to FAT but
then had to reformat it again on the pc to get FAT32 back, wont work in
readybost anymore but got my memory stick back.
