Can't use 'edit - find on this page'

Hi

I work in a school and we use policies to lock the system
down. It's just that we can't use edit - find on this
page - it comes up as a windows restriction. I can't see a
policy that relates to this.

Any ideas much appreciated

Can this be the issue?

Find (on This Page) Command Does Not Work with the ISO 8859 Character Set
The Find (on This Page) command on the Find menu in Internet Explorer does
not work correctly when you try to search for a word that contains
accentuated characters (such as "u" with an umlaut).
The document contains uppercase accentuated characters that are outside of
the normal A to Z range.
