I'm VERY frustrated!!! I have a new laptop purchased
from Dell. I am unable to send or receive e-mail
through my Outlook Express. I have spent hours on the
phone with my 2WIRE folks, SBC, and Dell. Everyone says
that everything is configured correctly, no viruses and
that the problem is a software issue with Microsoft
Outlook Express. I have a DSL wireless connection
through SBC Ameritech. (I am able to surf the net without
trouble) When I open Outlook Express, I end up with 2
errors in the window. See below.
"A TCP/IP error occurred while trying to connect to the
server. Account: 'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com',
Server: 'smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port:
25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC15" and "A
TCP/IP error occurred while trying to connect to the
server. Account: 'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com',
Server: 'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC15"
Please respond to the email above. (This is my work
email) My email address is SUPPOSED to be
(e-mail address removed)
PLEASE HELP ME! ANYONE?!
Dawn

If you have any Anti-Virus hooked up to sending or receiving email
disable it and then try your email.

Good point. If you have Zonealarm email scanning and NAV 2003 email
scanning enabled, it will hang on sending/receiving email.
