can't upload videos from jvc camcorder to movie maker

I have a JVC GR-SXM1915U camcorder that I would like to load the videos into
my computer that has Vista Premium Home. I want to load them into Movie Maker
Or My Pictures. I got an S-Video cord and an audio cord to connect to the
computer and the camcorder. When I go on Movie Maker it won't find the
camcorder. What do I need to do to get my videos onto the computer? Thanks
for the help

You need a video capture card or an external USB video capture device to use
USB. Or use Firewire if your camcorder has a Firewire connector and your
computer has a Firewire connector.

device to use S-video.
