Had a recent system crash that I was unable to recover from. Ended up having
to repair XP. Now when going thru Windows Update, I am unable to upgrade to
XP2. The error I get get says that "c:windows\system32\smss.exe is open or is
being used by another program, please close all open programs and retry". I
have closed anything and everything that is in use but to no avail. Does
anyone have any ideas please?? I am relying on Windows OneCare for overall
protection but I can't install that without having XP2. Thanks in advance
