Can't update Norton SW

Help. I am on MS XP, DSL and have most connections to
internet. I am not networking and have tried FW enabled
and disabled. ICS is not enabled.

I can connect and perform most internet activity.
However, I can't update Norton LiveUpdate (attempts to
connect and then returns LU1814). I also can't interact
with Fidelity Active Trader or EmpirePoker.

Security level? (Medium or Medium Low) Cookies settings? (All)

Delete cookies. Delete files - Delete all offline content. Clear history.

Are you trying the updates through the Norton AV software? If so - try
getting an update from here:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/defs.download.html

Go to Symantec site, download and install the new Live Update.

The point is that the OP is foreign in this NG. Plain search "LU1814"
returns hundreds of links to Symantec site.
