can't turn off

i click on turn off computer and windows says safe to
turn off, but power button will not turn off computer.
 
Go hardware store
Buy Big Hammer
Come Home
Clear big Space around Computer
Take Deep Breath
Lift Hammer
Aim
King Hit Power Button
Power Button Fixed - Pity 'bout Computer!

Some power buttons must be pressed and held for 5 to 10
seconds to shutdown. This is so an accidental press won't
crash the computer.
