Can't turn off XP SP2 Firewall

Greetings, any ideas on why I can't disable Windows firewall? I have XP with
SP2. I login as administrator, go to control panel --> Windows firewall, and
I can't select the option to turn it off (the "Off" option is greyed
out/disabled). At the top of the box it says "for your protection some
settings are controlled by group policy".

When I login as administrator of the machine (no domain, etc), shouldn't I
be able to turn off the firewall and not be part of any group?

Thank you all in advance

Thanks for the reply. I'm kind of slow at all this.... where in Group
Policies would I change the setting?

Thanks again
