Can't Stop AutoPlay Because Of Memory Stick In USB Port

Hi All,
I have an IO Gear KVM switch which has 3 computers on it.
I also have a USB hub connected to the Switch. I keep 3 - 2
Gig memory sticks in the hub all the time for transferring and
saving files.

Everytime I switch from one computer to another, the AutoPlay
box runs, then the "What do you want Windows to do" box
opens. Even though I put the check in the box and click on the
folders icon, everytime it opens these 2 boxes open. It never
remembers. But I want to stop all of this mess.
That's 6 boxes opening while I'm trying to do my work.

I know how to go to the Registry to stop CD's from running
( H_L-M - System - CurrentControlSet - Services - Cdrom
then changing the AutoRun to 0 from 1 in the right pane).
This does not stop the AutoPlay triggered by the memory
chips.

Is there a way to stop the memory chips from triggering the
AutoPlay ?

Thanks, Paul

Download TweakUI and look in the My Computer | Autoplay | Drives section.

Hi Rock,
That did it. Just to prove how stupid I am; I've been running the
old
TweakUI from Windows 98 on all my computers and it also has the Drive
section as in the new TweakUI, and I could have done the same thing in
it. I never though that removing the check by a drive letter would stop the
AutoPlay for a memory stick. It's great to learn something new every day.

Thanks, Paul

Great Paul, glad it's fixed and thanks for posting back.
