When I try to load the catalyst control center it triggers zone alarm. What
is up with that to start with??

Then if I allow or not it doesn't make any difference. The CCC will not
load.

Anyone know what is going on here?

I have reinstalled the CCC. I haven't been into the CCC for ages but it
used to load. Many many things have changed in my system since then but no
spyware/crapware in this box. (I think ;-))

?? Any ideas?

1. try setting an exception in zonealarm settings

2. try placing a shortcut to ATI "Restart Runtime" in the "Startup" section
of the start menu (You should find this in the ATI CCC Advanced menu)

It worked for me!

Good Luck

ok. so that solved that pain in the arse problem, but the real issue I am
trying o fix i jsut can't get this card to do.

What I want is an extended desktop which will works ok but when I play a
video for it to play full screen on the secondary. I can only get "theatre
mode" working if the displays are cloned, not if it is extended.

Any more ideas?

No, but I'd start a new thread for that one if I were you.
