My husband & I share our home computer, and have 2
separate desktops. using Windows XP. My Messenger works
fine, but his suddenly won't let him sign in. Changed his
password, went thru some of the suggestions I saw in
other posts (deleted temp files, deleted cookies, checked
security settings.) I'm wondering if you have any other
ideas? Thanks.

I work for an ISP and I have about 10 XP customers that
have this same problem. But they only have one desktop
and they are also uable to login to hotmail or anything
that requires a .Net passport. I assume that this has
something to do with the built in function that allows you
to assotiate a particular hotmail or passport account with
an XP identity but I haven't tried this yet to see if this
could be the problem. Maybe if you go into the user
settings in XP and verify that his passport is actually
correctly associated with him and that there are no
spelling mistakes. Let me know if it works because my
technician already had several people reinstall XP to fix
the problem.
