I have windows xp and trying to set up newsgroups in outlook2003. When I
first tried to add the news button to the Go Menu it just disapeared and cant
seem to find it anywhere its just gone. Any help setting this up would be
appreciated. Everything else works fine. When I go to a news group and try
to open with my news reader the page just sits there. Go figure?? Thanks in
advance. Brian

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, click the "Don't ask me again" box and then click the No button.

You may need to reset the menu or toolbar using Tools, customize.

I'm not sure what is wrong with the news group - are you using
msnews.microsoft.com or your ISPs news server? Try deleting the dbx for this
group (look in tools, options, maintenance for the file location) or
resetting it. if that fails, see if http://www.insideoe.com has the
information you need.

I have the same problem. When I scroll down the categories list there is no
"Go" option. Under Control Panel, Internet options - Outlook Express is the
default NewsGroup Reader (with no other options). Question so how do I set
un News Groups with Outlook 2003
