can't set my home page

my home page keeps reverting back to some pirate page
which has also added to my favorites despite my repeated
attempts to reset and delete

First, scan the system for parasites and remove them. SpyBot S&D searches
your harddisk for Spyware and Adware

(Remember to perform a Webupdate to have the latest definitions installed)

This will remove malware from the PC. Next, reset the HomePage settings.
