Can't Set Monitor Resolution

I recently performed a fresh reinstall of Windows XP Home (which included a
hard drive reformatting). Now I am unable to set the monitor resolution any
higher than 640 x 800. The slider bar does not operate when I try to click
and drag. I've tried the Advanced options and "properties" is grayed out
along with all of the other functions related to the monitor. PLEASE HELP!

You need to install video drivers that have not been supplied by
Microsoft.
