Can't set a .jpg file as background

Hail techs,

All of a sudden I can't set my desktop background to a
jpeg file. WinXP pro is returning a "run a dll as an app
error". How do I solve this problem? Thanks...

Download Ad-Aware 6 (http://download.com.com/3000-2144-
10214379.html?tag=lst-0-1), open it and check for updates,
then run it and fix all the problems it finds. This should
take care of your problem... from what I've seen, it's
caused by spyware
