When you're at home you're (probably) on a different ISP, who won't let you
use port 25 for anything but their own SMTP server. Or else, your regular
SMTP server won't let you connect unless you're connected to them.

Corporate Symantec or retail Norton? Retail Norton is not a good idea with
WinMail.

If your company uses a few laptops your IT guy has probably met this
problem before and already knows the easy way around it for you and your
company.

The problem is as Frank says, your server that collects your email can
identify you by your address and password (POP server) but the server
you are trying to send mail through (SMTP server) can't do that - so it
will not let you send in case you are sending junk mail. The SMTP server
at work does not identify you, but it does know you are part of it's
network, so that's okay. The SMTP server at home knows you are NOT part
of it's network so it is refusing your requests.

If you don't have an IT guy you could ask your work ISP tech support for
suggestions, we can't help with that because we don't know what services
they can offer. What you need is an authenticated account to use from
anywhere, and they will help you set it up.

Make sure the company does not have rules that prevent you taking the
laptop home...
