Can't Send Messages with Attachments

I'm unable to send messages that have attachments via
Outlook Express. The message SMTP keeps coming up, what
does this mean?
 
STMP is a type of outgoing mail server. need more specifics to tell what is
wrong
 
Perhaps you are set up to send messages in Plain Text like you do in
Newsgroups. If so, click on Format...and click on Rich Text (HTML).
Now you can send attachments. Sometimes you can be setup to default to
Rich Text (HTML) but you are responding to an email that was sent in Plain
Text. Sometimes your response will also be sent back in Plain Text. If so,
click on Format... etc. You can check this by clicking on
Tools...Options... Send... and see if you have a checkmark before "reply in
the same format as received" sic.

But, regardless of your setup you can normally send your attachment by
clicking on Format and selecting Rich Text (HTML).
 
The message says " A time out has occured while
communicating with the server. Port 25 secure - error
0x800ccc19. Also, it keeps saying that the server has
not responed in 60 seconds.

How big is the attachment? Can you send regular emails or do you get the
same error? Most emails account have a limit on attachment size.

Each ISP is different, but your size should be fine. I would try calling
them and see if they have a solution.

Many ISPs limit the size of attachments, and/or the type of attachment.
Both on the sending and receiving end.

eg. I cant send a 501K file to my partner with Comcast cable. He's
limited to getting 500K attachments.
