Hello, I have discovered today that I have an error email in my Outbox now as
well as my Deleted Mailbox that is hanging up sending out email. I have to
manually click on each one and send -- any news on how to delete these from
windows mail???

Read the post you replied too maybe, regarding the Outbox, ignore the other
stuck messages. (for now)?

Amplifying on Steve's response:
Go to http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/
When you start to download the wmutil.zip file,
be sure to choose Save rather than Run.
After it finishes downloading choose Run, then Extract. Then it will
show the extraction folder with two files in it, WMUtil.exe and scxout.dll.
Run WMUtil.exe, wait until the buttons become active, then click on
Clear Outbox. It may take a while. Before you start, make sure
Windows Mail is not running.

Hello,
I get this message in my outbox - Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.
This is when I try to send or move or delete.
I have the same type of message in my deleted mail also. This is a new
machine there are no issues with low memory or disk space either.
The deleted mailbox i can live with it's the outbox I can not since now my
mail is not sending automatically - i have to go in an manually sent and then
sent it to my sent mail too to keep for documentation . . . so today is not a
good day!!! I would appreciate words of wisdom. Thanks.

This is a fix for the message stuck in your Outbox:

Go to http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/
When you start to download the wmutil.zip file,
be sure to choose Save rather than Run.
After it finishes downloading choose Run, then Extract. Then it will
show the extraction folder with two files in it, WMUtil.exe and scxout.dll.
Run WMUtil.exe, wait until the buttons become active, then click on
Clear Outbox. It may take a while. Before you start, make sure
Windows Mail is not running.

Only WinMail.exe needs to be closed. Sometimes it stays open a while
after you close Windows Mai and you may need to manually close that
process. This is why you need to read the directions
at http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/ which says:

"If Windows Mail is open or if a current WinMail.exe process is running, the
Database functions are disabled, and they (the WinMail processes) must be
terminated before these features are available. (If WinMail is closed and these
buttons still remain disabled, then perform a CTRL-SHIFT-ESC and under
Processes find WinMail.exe and click on it, and then click the End Process button.)"

Steve I think you need to add thunder bolts and lightning flashes,
and all the bells and whistles you can muster, etc. to highlight the
instructions.

how long does it take for the utility to open ? should all programs be
closed

Funnily enough the instructions mention...

If Windows Mail is open or if a current WinMail.exe process is running, the
Database functions are disabled, and they (the WinMail processes) must be
terminated before these features are available. (If WinMail is closed and
these buttons still remain disabled, then perform and CTRL-SHIFT-ESC and
under Processes find WinMail.exe and click on it, and then click the End
Process button.)

Yeah. I guess so.

Maybe I could put a wav file on the website and in solemn intonations
proclaim "ENDTASK"!!!

I used your download and finely got it to work. Thank you. What I found
most useful is very specific instructions. For instance, I thought I had
windows mail closed, but did not know that I needed to do the "alt, control"
thing to end the task. I am very familur with computers, but need specific
instructions. Thanks again

Thank you so much! I have been very frusturated with our new computer and
this cleared out my email issue. Now I can move on to the next issue!
