I can't send mail anymore from windows mail. I'm getting an error code...how
can i fix?

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Fw: Loacker', Account:
'pop.1and1.com (1)', Server: 'smtp.1and1.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

thanks for the quick response.

I tried the authentication box as well, wbut still no luck. I was sending
mail fine until @ 2 weeks ago? Any other thoughts?

Looks like you've got the correct server name...
According to this,
http://www.rsge-network.com/support/1and1_MailSetup.pdf
you probably need to enable authentication...
Tools - Accounts - (youraccount) - Properties - Servers
check [x ] "My outgoing server requires authentication"
OK

Yes, the first item at that link:

http://faq.1and1.com/e_mail/setting...outlook_express_and_netscape_mail_/index.html

suggests using port 587 (instead of 25) . . . .

You're running into a port 25 block. As a general rule, the owner of
the port 25 SMTP server you are using must be the same as the entity
providing your Internet connection at that moment. For more on this see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

slk759 already gave you the correct workaround. Change port 25 to
port 587.
