can't send in 2007, can in 2000

I have several users on the road right now. They are all staying in the same
hotel. The users with Office 2000 can send and recieve email. The users with
Office 2007 can only recieve.

Windows XP Pro SP2 w/Office 2007.
SMTP Settings are correct.
I've read about the ISP's blocking port 25, our hosting company has another
port open to accomodate that but it's still not working.

According to the hotel staff no one with Office 2007 can send email there.

I need to find some fix for this. We have to have email when we're on the
road. If we use an internal exchange server will we have access to mail from
anywhere or will we have the same issue?

Thanks,
Chris

Are you in a position to reproduce the problem? If so, what error are you
getting? What happens if you try to telnet to the 'other' smtp port through
Start - Run?
