ok so i was able to and have been able to send emails, but now i went home
and tried to send an email and it didnt work, so now i tried while connected
to my regular internet server andit stil wont work, i just get this message...

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'Hypothesis',
Account: 'acardin.mail.ncsu.edu', Server: 'smtp-resnet.ncsu.edu', Protocol:
SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.1.1 <[email protected]>... No such user',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

thank you soo much!

I don't see any evidence that the SSL option should be enabled.
In Windows Mail go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties,
Advanced, then uncheck the SSL option.
