I am getting the exact same message to any email account with a .net. It
started yesterday. I have downloaded all updates and it is still not
working. Please help!!

That is NOT the "exact same [error] message," my friend.

To avoid confusion, please begin a new thread about your specific problems.
State your IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP2)
in your first post. Also tell us if you've EVER been able to send using
those settings. (I doubt it).

It looks to me like you have included an illegal space at the end of
..net in the email address '(e-mail address removed) '
