Please help! I can receive e-mails, but cannot send. This is very
frustrating!!

Here's the error message that comes up:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'ABC,
LLC', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10013, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

ok - I figured it out. I had to change my outgoing server port to 587. I
guess because I'm using Windows Vista.

Thanks anyway...

It was nothing to do with Vista.
Comcast is changing from port 25 to port 587, seemingly without informing
their customers.

Hi, I have been having problems sending e-mails, it always pops up this error
box saying:

Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 5.7.0 No AUTH command has been
given.', Port: 587, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 530, Error Number:
0x800CCC78

You error message is missing the server name, a very critical piece of
information needed for troubleshooting.

I'm shooting in the blind here, but try this:

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then uncheck the SSL option.

If no improvement, make sure you have send authentication enabled.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers.
Enable the "My server requires authentication" option.
