Can't send e-mail, but can recieve

For some reason we can receive e-mail with no problem,
but we can't send e-mail. We are using Everest as our
internet connection if that makes any difference. We also
check our yahoo account using Outlook 200 SR as well. It
has worked in the past. Just stopped working all of a
sudden.The error message is as follows:

"The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the
server. (Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', SMTP
Server: 'smtp.everestkc.net', Error Number:0x800ccc0f."

Any ideas how to fix this problem
