Usually you get one chance per potential respondent to elicit a reply
from them. If they skip your post because you gave them nothing to go
on and no context, often they'll just move on to the next post and never
return to yours. Read:
Your email client connects to different servers to retrieve and send
mail. So the POP3 (retrieving) connection is working fine, but the
SMTP (sending) connection is not.
Check the SMTP server name you've told your client to connect to. Is
that the one your ISP told you to use? You may have to contact them or
go through their help pages to find the correct server name.
Sure...by telling you to ask in a group that has to do with whatever
mail client you use. XP has NO built in mail capabilities and as such
you post is out of place HERE.
