Cant Send and Receive email

I tried 2 send mail from my outlook after setting up my hotmail account on
it, but cant send or receive mails. Get the following errors...

Sending error---
Task 'Hotmail - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Unable to connect to
the server.'

Receiving error---
Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0x800CCC0E) : 'Unable to connect to the server.'

Thanx Bill, I realised it wen I chekd @ hotmail signup page, just b4 I chekd
ur advice tha I av 2 pay 4 tha service. Thanx again 4 ur time & help.
