Can't see default contacts folder to import or export

When attempting to import or export contact data between Outlook 2003
installed on my desktop and Excel, the default personal folders contained in
outlook.pst are not shown in the list of folders I can import to or export
from. Only the .pst folders I have created are shown as possible import or
export locations. On my laptop, same version of Office, same .pst files,
everything works fine. Can anyone help?

I just had this problem. I had to close all my .pst folders (which is a pain
whn you've go 20+ like I do) and then go to export. I tried the export after
I re-opened the .pst folders and it was still working.
