Cant search Outlook contacts

I have recently transferred all my Outlook contacts from my old lap-top to my
new lap-top. I am running Office Small Business Edition 2003 in Vista. I now
have full use of Outlook but am unable to search contacts or to use mail
groups in email addresses. It seems that, although all the contacts are
there, they are not being recognised. ANy suggestions on how to get the
contacts working again?
