Can't save passwords.

There are several websites I use on a regular basis that
pop up a Windows box asking me for a username and
password. I type the information in and click on the
option to save the password for next time, but it never
does. Other people can use it just fine but it doesn't
work for me. I'm using Windows XP and IE6. Any ideas?
