CAN'T RUN SCAN DISK...HELP!!!

Can someone PLEASE give me some simple instructions on how to make my SCAN
DISK work? I've tried for months...no luck! It freezes 2 seconds in. Is
there a simple solution to this problem? All replies will be appreciated!

Also, my computer is very very very slow, even though I have DSL...does me
no good, my computer still slow as HELL! I want to pull my hair out! Thanks!

Scandisk doesn't come with Windows XP, so I have to assume you did a
migration and old invalid versions of some utilities got carried over
(and why an upgrade is a pollutive method of migrating rather than doing
a fresh install). Use 'chkdsk' which is the tool you use in NT-based
versions of Windows because it was coded for that OS.
