My computer had virus problems. Ran restore CD and used automatic updates to
get up to and through installing XP SP2. Using virus software detected trojan
virus, (SD.BOT or something like that). Also noticed that windows firewall
was not turned on and I could not turn it on. Decided to start over and run
the restore CD again. Now when I boot with the restore CD in the CD drive, my
monitor stays blank. When I remove the CD and boot, the first thing I see is
the welcome screen. It's as if the Windows XP screen is being bypassed. I can
not go into setup. If I insert a floppy disk in the floppy drive and boot.
The computer still boots off of the hard drive. Any help with this problem
would be appreciated.
