cant restart after a windows update

After updating windows I followed the promt to restart the
computer and now it just continues to turn the monitor on
and off, over and over. It shows me the Windows XP screen,
acts as if it is going to load the desktop, then turns off
the monitr and starts over again.
Anybody seen this before and have some wisdom for me?

Hey there, mine is doing the exact same thing. I'm on

the phone right now with DELL, you don't happen to have a
dell also???? I'll keep you updated. (e-mail address removed)

I had a similar problem. You will have to uninstall SP2
or whatever you installed. I had to have tech support
help me. They have a free dedicated support line for SP2.
Might want to give it a try. Here is the number: (888)
SP2-HELP(772-4357). There are long waits however. Good
luck.
