Can't reset to default display

I was messing with some Theme programs and now I can't read my display.

The icons are there, but the type is black on a black background and therefore unreadable. I tried Safe Mode boot, but it comes up with the same display settings (black on black). I can't even try a restore because I can't read the command prompt.
Does anyone know how to get back to the default settings in safe mode or otherwise?

I would appreciate any help I could get.

If you are getting Black text on a Black Background in a command prompt screen, then I could suggest that it may be your monitor and not the software / PC.

Borrow another monitor and try it on your PC.
