cant remove virus

can anybody help i have a file whichhas a virus
C;windows\system32\atmpvcno.exe (backdoor dsnx)
ran avg antivirus program shows the above but will not
remove it have tried system restore to the earliest point
available still no luck any ideas?

Most AntiVirus programs come with a bootable cd or floopy, try scanning from
that in DOS.

First thing to do is disable system restore and make sure your restore
points are deleted. After that's done then you can properly address the
virus issue.
