Can't remove spyware

A company called "smart Security" has attached itself to
my computer's desktop. I have tried spyware, virus
removal and restoring to a previous point and nothing
works. If I click on the icon on my desktop it takes me
to there site where they want $60 for their program. What
can I do to get rid of this? Will a firewall help?

What programs have you tried for spwyare removal? Have you tried in
safe mode?

I have the same problem and tried everything, driving me mad, just wish i
knew a hacker that could go and distroy the pricks off the face of the earth

Go to Control Panel -> Display -> Desktop. Click on the Customize Desktop
button. Then select Web and uncheck (or delete) the webpage Security. Click
OK and it's done.
