Can't Remove Program

I just loaded a CAD program, 3rd PlanIt, and it wouldn't
run, so I tried to remove it, but when I went to the
control panel to remove it, the CAD program wasn't
listed. Can I just delete the folder, or is ther another
way to uninstall this program? Thank you

Hi

If just delete the folder, the program probably won't be completely uninstalled. If the isn't listed under Control Panel/Add/Remove Programs, have a look in the folder for an 'uninstall' or 'unwise' files. Failing that, you could try reinstalling/uninstalling the program. It make have an uninstall option via Start>Programs>'name of program'.

If you delete the folder you will also need to delete any
references in the start up folder and the registry. If you
dont it will leave behind orphan settings that may mess
things up. You can download various registry cleaners that
may help. Cheers.

Hey Doug, did you figure out how to uninstall that

program yet? I am having the same problem. I found a
program on my computer (a shortcut online service to
Prodigy) and I want to get rid of it but when I went to
the control panel to remove it- it wasn't there! Weird!
Any words of advice?
