Can't Remove a program

Hello
I have WinXP home edition. I want to remove "Spybot search and destroy" but
the add/remove program does not remove it and I get a message that the file
"unins000.dat" can not be found. But that file excists in the Program
files/Spybot file. When I try to uninstall it through the uninstall button
of Spybot I get the same message. When I click on that file (unins000.dat)
the only thing that happens is that a notepad file opens (Inno Set up
Uninstall Log). My pc is virus-free.
Can someone please help me?

Hi Jimmy,

Try reinstalling Spybot over itself.

If that doesn't work, try taking a text file and then renaming it to that
..dat file's name, then copy-paste the file into the Spybot folder. This
has worked for me on a couple of occasions. Worth a try anyway.
