Can't remove a desktop item

I have something on my desktop that I would like to remove, but none of the
regular ways will work. I have even went to dos and tried the del with no
luck.
It appears to be something left over from a email.
The file name is

Fw Good info Pleas read...

There is no extension, I have tried to send it to the recycle bin, deleting
it out right, renaming it, nothing will get rid of it. It has 0 bytes.

have you rebooted and then tried to delete

Yes, it is a hidden file.(transparent) When I select to show hidden files
it is there on the desktop, when I check to not show hidden sys. files it is
not showing.

You have to remove it form your registry. Do not attempt to remove from the
registry unless you are experienced with the registry. Find someone who is
experienced.
