Can't ReInstall IE 6

W

Wayne Wengert

We have an XPPro system that cannot start Outlook Express. We tried some
suggested procedures, including moving all the dbx files out of the message
store but it still fails with an "out of memory..." error.

We want to completely reinstall IE6 in hopes of repairing the problem but
even after setting the "IsInstalled" registry keys of IE and OE to zero, we
get a popup saying that a newer version of IE is already installed when we
try to run the IE6 install?

Any ideas of how we can do a re-install?

Carey;

Thanks for the VERY QUICK response but the steps in that article are
exaactly what I followed (both key values are set to zero) and I still get
the message that a newer version is already installed?

I would suggest performing a "repair install".
