Can't reinstall Business Contact Manager 2007

I am running windows XP sp3, Office Professional 2007 sp1. I tried
unsuccessfully several months ago to install Business Contact Manager. I
don't recall now what the problem was at the time.

A couple days ago, I tried to install BCM again. Before I started, I
created a restore point, checked Add/Remove for any BCM components, i.e., SQL
servers, Interop Assemblies and Small Business Connectivity software. I had
to delete Interop and SB Connectivity software. There were no SQL server
items listed.

My attempt at install failed, although the logs seemed to indicate that
Interop, SB Connectivity and BCM had installed!

When I installed BCM on my other computer, after several weeks of trying to
get the issued resolved through MS Help, I finally reformatted the hard drive
and started over. The first thing I installed after Windows was Office and
BCM. It is now working great! I am hoping I don't have to start over this
time.

Can anyone help with this?

By the way, I posted this question two days ago. Logged off and went back
in just to make sure it had posted. And it seems to have mysteriously
disappeared.

we have same operating environment, one of our laptops had same problem...we
finally decided to cut our losses and re-format the thing, no matter what we
tried, no matter how many times we uninstalled/reinstalled outlook and bcm,
it would still detect a prior instance of mssmlbiz
