Can't record Global Macro

When I try to record a macro in the personal workbook for use in al
workbooks, I get an error message. " Personal Macro Workbook in th
startup folder must stay open for recording" It only happens on th
computer with Excel 2002 SP-2

There was just another poster who said that his problem that the personal.xl*
file was marked as Disabled.

Try opening excel and then
Help|about MS Excel|
Click on the Disabled Items Button

and see if your personal.xl* file is listed.

If it is, try enabling it. If you can't enable it successfully--next time you
start excel, it gets marked disabled again, you may have to delete you
personal.xl* file and reload it from your backup.
