Part 1 of the confusion:
Microsoft Office Outlook and Outlook Express are completely different
products which can run side by side. One is not an upgrade or light version
of the other.

If you want to use Microsoft Office Outlook make sure you have your account
configured correctly in Tools-> E-mail Accounts-> button Next

If you want to stop using Outlook Express to receive e-mail in you should
remove the account in Outlook Express through Tools-> Accounts...

Works does not include Outlook Express.

No such product as Outlook EXPRESS 2003. There is a product called Outlook
2003. Outlook and Outlook EXPRESS are not related products anymore than
Word and WordPerfect are related products.

At this point, we don't know if you are using Outlook Express or Outlook.
In Internet Options -> Programs, select whichever program you want as the
default e-mail program.
I have activated the new outlook express a zillion times

Outlook EXPRESS never needs to be activated.

Can YOU actually understand what you just said? You transferred old to new.
It's all there. Can't transfer from old to new. What? Remember that you
are asking someone ELSE for help, not yourself.

As a wild ass guess, maybe you installed Outlook and transferred mails from
Outlook Express. Did the accounts transfer, too? Look in the e-mail
accounts defined in Outlook.

FYI: You might need a new keyboard. The Shift isn't working on yours for
capitalization.
