Can't receive emails POP server error

I am unable to receive emails, it attempts to connect to POP3 server then
tells me to log in to verify. I don't know the username/password from set
up. It's not the same as what I thought. I tried going to accounts and
resetting the password, but that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

The passwords aren't reset on a mail client, they are set on the server.

If you don't know the login information, you need to contact the mail
provider, who may or may not be your ISP.
