The *.web files are created every time you close a FP web
If you have "tons of files" in your temp folder delete them all periodically
- they slow your system down
Links in your page do not affect publishing
--
| I did a search for .tmp files and only found 2 that
| had "Frontpage" in the file name . . . I have no idea
| what other files to delete (and there are tons of them) --
| deleted those 2. I had already deleted the .web files
| at someone else's suggestion, but they were back so I
| deleted them again. I have Windows XP and FP 2002 so I
| didn't do anything with a "super hidden folder". I
| recalculated hyperlinks and tried to publish . . . same
| exact result. Speaking of hyperlinks, my web has
| acquired tons of them (which have not always been there),
| some of which are broken and many that appear to be
| identical when listed. I didn't know what (if anything)
| to do to clean it up because all of the hyperlinks that I
| created (internal and external) seem to work fine. Could
| this be an issue?
|
| Thanks for all your help!
