I have a couple of websites hosted on different servers. I cannot republish
any of them. They have all been published before, they all accept FP
extensions.

When I click the "OK" buttom on the "remote website properties" dialogue box
it immeadiately comes up with an "unable to open www........etc and then
lists 4 possible causes

1.Front page server extensions not installed....they are, i've used them
before

2.The webserver may be temporairily out of service.. I've checked & they
wern't

3.Proxy settings may be incorrect.. I have changed from dialup to cable
recently as well as set up a wireless network & I am wondering if either of
these may have effected some settings?? Any suggestions on how to check &
confirm they are correct would help please..

4.An error may have occured in the webserver? Wouldn't have thought the
different servers could all be faulty at the one time.. but don't really know
what I am talking about here, or how to check..

I have run the FP repair program which has not made any difference and
reloaded software

Your help would be appreciated

It could very well be the configuration of your wireless network.

Hi Tom

How would I go about confirming if this was the problem?
The manufactuer of the network cards has a help desk I guess that may be a
good place to start??

Greg

One way is to use a dial-up connection, if available, instead of the wireless.
