Can't publish my new index page

I created a new index page for my site. When I publish though, it's still
publishing the old index page. How can I fix this? I tried rearranging the
navigation in the navigation view, but that hasn't helped.

Verify from your host what the correct filename for the home page should be
Rename your home page to match and republish

Have you tried refreshing the page on the internet? This
has happened to me but once I have refreshed the page the
new one appears.
