can't print lexmark 7000

dwn loaded driver from lexmark when I upgraded to XP
unzipped and installed have exe in registry still can't
print says error 29. Hooked up compaq printer that had
driver preloaded in XP got the same error . Disconnected
the scanner still got the same error message 29.Error
nort listed in web site.need to know how to get printer
working prefer 7000 lexmark.

This error can sometimes appear when there is a previously installed driver similar
to the one you are installing. Completely uninstall the Lexmark software, re-boot,
try installing again.
